The Nominees For The 2012 Grammys Are…

The Grammy Nominations are in! And they’re quite surprising. Picking up nominations in the most prestigious categories are Adele, who picks up nominations for Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year with “Rolling In The Deep” and hits the trifecta with Album Of The Year for 21. The same gift was given to Bruno Mars, who’s name was littered all over The Grammys for his album Doo-Wops and Hooligans, which was nominated for Album Of The Year. The single “Grenade”, which topped the charts in 2010 and 2011 also was nominated for Song Of The Year.
Dark horses of the competition are definitely Bon Iver, who picked up nominations for Record and Song Of The Year for “Holocene” and scored a Best New Artist nomination. Also joining them in Best New Artist are Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, The Band Perry, and Skrillex.
Kanye West leads the pack with seven nominations. Adele, Bruno Mars, and Foo Fighters follow with six; Lil Wayne and Skrillex both earn five; Drake, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Mumford & Sons, Radiohead, and Bon Iver each receive four nominations.
