Chris Brown’s mother Joyce Hawkins is reportedly furious over comments her son posted on his Twitter page following his first Grammy win last weekend.
The tweet, which seemingly addressed the on-going furore surrounding his pre-Grammy bust up with Rihanna three years ago among various other heated rants, have since been removed following a backlash in response to them.
Posts such as "HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now! That's the ultimate F**K OFF (sic)!" prompted the R&B superstar’s mother to apparently tell him: "It’s time to grow up," a source told the singer’s mother.
"She feels like people were just waiting for a negative reaction to what others were saying about him. She had begged Chris to just ignore it and she is just beside herself that after such successful performances at the Grammys and winning the award, people are now talking about this Twitter controversy."
In spite of fuelling more controversy, the singer once again took to Twitter to put out any further flames. "TeamBreezy, the Grammy I received was for those of you who supported my music and the hard work and growth in my life. I thank you! Love U!" he tweeted.
