Meet WondaGurl, The 16-Year-Old Producer Behind Jay-Z's "Crown"

The 16-year-old Nigerian/Canadian Teenage Producer, Ebony Oshunrinde, a.k.a. WondaGurl is in the spotlight after earning a producing credit on Jay-Z’s new album “Magna Carta... Holy Grail.” Now, it seems like the music world has opened their eyes (and ears) to the talents of WondaGurl after hearing the song, "Crown."
WondaGurl’s inclusion in the album came about because she had sent a beat she was working on to rapper producer Travis Scott, who just happened to be working with was in studio with Jay-Z on the new album.
According to her website, WondaGurl “has been honing her craft since she was 9 years old. WondaGurl’s talent first came to light at the 2011 Battle of the Beatmakers in Toronto, where as a 14 year old, she competed making it through to the quarter finals.” In 2012 she won the Battle of the Beatmakers.
