After GQ Magazine named Kendrick Lamar “Man Of The Year”, They just announced Pharrell Williams is GQ’s “Hitmaker of The Year”.
The rapper/producer’s year has been filled with multiple hits, including Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Line” and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.”
In the interview with GQ, Pharrell says that both of the hit songs were most important because they were for the people.
“Both songs are for people who need a break,” he says. “There’s a lot of fucked-up travesty in the world. Sometimes you just need a Hallmark card. Sometimes you just need to shake your ass.” (GQ)
