Snoop Lion to Headline MTV Africa All Stars Finale

Multi-platinum artist Snoop Lion, aka Snoop Dogg, will headline the inaugural 'MTV Africa All Stars' concert in Durban, South Africa on May 18, 2013.

The Reincarnated rapper, singer-songwriter, producer, actor and reality star will headline MTV Africa All Stars KwaZulu-Natal Province, alongside the most popular contemporary artists from across the African continent.

Snoop said:  "I’m honoured to bring this important message of peace and love to South Africa. This is the motherland and a place of so much history and strife. I hope that this concert reminds us it is also a place of joy, love, celebration and peace".

The three-city African tour finale will take place in Durban on May 18 and will feature artists from Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. MTV Africa All Stars is a new pan-African music and youth empowerment campaign aimed at acknowledging contemporary African musicians. It will be activated through a series of live music events, multimedia exposure on the channel and a music industry workshop.
