In this interview with MTV during promo for their upcoming VH1 CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story biopic, T-Boz and Chilli reveal that the Max Martin and Rami-written record was given to them way back in 1998 and they denied it. They actually passed up on the song because it didn’t fit the TLC vibe and it ultimately landed in the hands of young Britney, who used it to launch into Pop superstardom.
