Beyonce & Jay-Z Welcome Baby Girl Blue Ivy Carter

Beyonce and Jay-Z are officially the proud parents of a healthy baby girl! 

The most watched celebrity pregnancy in history has now finally come to an end now that various media reports confirm that Beyonce gave birth to a baby girl named “Blue Ivy Carter” via a scheduled C-section at a hospital in New York City late Saturday (Jan 7). 

Beyonce and Jay-Z have finally welcomed their first child into the world, with the star giving birth to baby girl Blue Ivy Carter last night. Reports emerged earlier in the evening that Bey had rented out the entire fourth floor of the Lennox Hill Hospital in New York under the name Ingrid Jackson, which reportedly cost her $1.3 million. 

Security was said to be tightened at the facility with hospital workers being asked to turn in their mobile phones and security cameras were even covered to prevent footage of the star leaking. Now, according to Eonline.com, Bey has gave birth to her first child, daughter Blue Ivy by Caesarean section. 

The Houston Chronicle also confirmed the news saying: "Beyoncé has given birth to a girl early this evening in New York, says a close source. Baby and mom are doing fine.

" Some of the couple's closest celebrity friends sent their congratulations via Twitter, with Russell Simmons writing: "Congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z," while Rihanna wrote: "Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih."
