Kendrick Lamar Still Hoping to Release Joint Album With J.Cole

XXL recently asked Kendrick Lamar about the status of his joint album with J.Cole and he said that they are still in talks to release it. All they need now is to find time to get in the studio together.
“We’re still trying to formulate it and sit down in a neutral zone, where either one of us is moving and doing shows, interviews and press all the time. We want to lock ourselves in the studio and make it right. We got songs where we can actually formulate something, but we want it to be right.”
Kendrick also revealed that he is working with producers Just Blaze and Pete Rock on his upcoming album.
“We got some shit,” he said about the Blaze collabo. “It’s city-based for sure. It’s classic. It’s history-making shit. It’s Just Blaze, a nigga I been listening to since I was 13 when I started rhyming, listening to Jay and all those Rocafella albums.”
“I’m looking forward to working with Pete Rock,” Kendrick said. “He just reached out to me. That feels muthafuckin’ great. I got to get back to him, so we can make it work.”
Someone needs to get the CDQ version of Kendrick Lamar and J.Cole’s ‘Temptations’ record asap!
