Chris Brown's 'Fortune' Album Panned By Critics

Chris Brown's latest album Fortunehas been received poorly by critics just a day after its release.
Fortune is the fifth studio album from the 23-year-old and has been highly-anticipated following the success of 2011'sF.A.M.E. which soared to number one on the US Billboard charts. While Fortune'slead single 'Turn Up The Music' has performed well, the album as a whole has failed to impress his critics despite impressive collaborations with rap legend Nas, Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa.
A reviewer for the Chicago Tribune said the album "is pure-pop candy cane, meant to be enjoyed, consumed and forgotten."
The Chicago Sun-Times said: "Chris Brown's new album not a parody, but it sure sounds like one," however the BBC gave a scathing review, saying: "Fortune is never terrible. It just feels cripplingly pointless."
