In addition to the $5 million pocket change she earned when she won the first American season of The X Factor, Melanie Amaro has also nabbed a record deal with Epic Records.
X Factor judge L.A. Reid is the Chairman/CEO of Epic Records, which will put Amaro's future music career firmly in his hands.
So how does fellow X Factor judge and mentor Simon Cowell feel about the deal?
"We all agreed that Epic would be the right fit for Melanie," Cowell said in a statement.
"L.A. made it clear that he wanted the opportunity to work with her and with his track record, you can't say no to that."
As part of her X Factor win, Amaro, 19, is also set to star in a Pepsi commercial.
