50 Cent Supports Gay Marriage

It seems ever since President Barack Obama publicly spoke on being in favour of same-sex marriages, member of the hip-hop community, from Jay-Z to T.I. have also come forward to voice their support. However, another musician to jump on the bandwagon is rapper 50 Cent.
50, who was on the Funkmaster Flex Show onHot 97 last night, discussed everything from squashing old beef with Cam’ron, to his new upcoming mixtape with DJ Drama, The Lost Tapes.
As the topic of same-sex marriage cropped up, the G-Unit boss revealed how he didn’t understand what the big deal was about it, even questioning religious individuals who are not in support of gay marriage.
Said 50,
‘’It was quite some time before we got a response out of Obama on same-sex marriage…Yeah, I’m cool. I would like people to actually be happy…Technically, I don’t see where it fits into any religion.
‘’The Bible that they would read to marry you, it doesn’t have anything in it that says same-sex. If it does, then I would like someone to point out that interpretation.’’
The 36-year-old also revealed that in the past he has participated in some same-sex activities, and although he gave no hints of what exactly, he said,
‘’I’ve encouraged same-sex activities. I’ve engaged in fetish areas a couple times. I’m for it.’’
On a more serious note, he acknowledged the benefit of Obama’s stance and how it would affect society by saying,
‘’I think I’m really for this new idea…new way of life…this is opening a lot of possibilities.’’
50 cent is the latest celebrity to back the President’s stance, and just two days ago, 50’s close friend and professional boxer Floyd Mayweather announced on Twitter that he too supports equal rights for same-sex marriage.
