Earlier this month, the singer was refused a permit to perform in the city next month after Islamic groups in the country expressed opposition to her "vulgar" style.
Last week the 'Born This Way' singer hinted that there was a possibility that the show might go ahead as planned. However, it has been announced today (May 27) that the concert has now been cancelled, following threats from the Islamic groups.
In a statement, Minola Sebayang, a lawyer for concert promoter Big Daddy, said: "With threats if the concert goes ahead, Lady Gaga's side is calling off the concert. This is not only about Lady Gaga's security, but extends to those who will be watching her."
Lady Gaga's tour kicked off in controversy last month (April 27) after authorities in Seoul, South Korea implemented a strict adults only policy at her show, banning anyone under the age of 18 from attending her first tour date.
The age restriction was imposed after a ratings board deemed the performance unsuitable for children, following earlier protests from Christian groups claiming the singer was "obscene" and could "taint" young people prompted the local government to make the gig an over-18s gig.
Gaga is touring Europe as part of her Born This Way Ball tour and will now also play Manchester's Evening News Arena on September 11 and a one-off date in Ireland at Dublin's Aviva Stadium four days later. The Darkness will support on all dates.
