Lenny Kravitz To Play Marvin Gaye In Upcoming Biopic

Rock singer Lenny Kravitz has been tabbed to star as the late singer in a biopic focused on the last years of his short life.

The London Evening Standard reports that Kravitz will play Gaye in a film that at the moment is titled Midnight Love. The film, helmed by British filmmaker Julien Temple, will chronicle Gaye's life after 1981 and during the recording of his Midnight Love album while Brussels. At the time, Gaye was battling drug addiction.
