Mike WiLL Made It is having a big year. In a short span, the Atlanta producer has gone from an in-house beatmaker for Gucci Mane to working with some of the biggest names in the pop world. One landmark achievement that came in 2013 was working with Jay Z, though their collaboration was a bit of a tease.
WiLL spoke of wanting to release the full-length version of "Beach Is Better" (which appeared on MCHG as an interlude) on his own album. "I need to sit down with Hov," he said to MTV.
While the producer hasn't been able to work things out with Jigga just yet, he did speak to record exec Steve Stoute about his plans for the song.
"[Stoute] was telling me that Hov was talking about "Beach is Better,'" WiLL explained. "He was talking about getting back in and everything, but I might need to talk to Hov about letting me go ahead and get that full version and put it on Est. In 1989 Pt. 3."
The Bangerz executive producer then spoke of his ambitous plans for the album, not only in length but in importance. "I feel like with this album the expectations are high, so it's like when Dre came with The Chronic he gave the people something and it changed culture, it changed music," he said. "With my album, I gotta make sure I give them a moment. I wanna drop a triple disc. I'm dropping triple disc, period. Not wanting to, I'm dropping a triple disc."
Mike also named Kendrick Lamar, Future, 2 Chainz, Big K.R.I.T., Brandy, and Kelly Rowland as features on the project.
